Hope you’re excited cause I am. We’ll be sharing The Hub with the state Motorcycle Touring Association rally. Their motto is “Riding with Friends.” I guess ours could be “Riding Fast with Friends.”

I’ve just been notified that there will be a Halloween costume party on Saturday, October 22nd at The Hub. It’s open to everyone! Let’s dress up and party!

“The first Midsouth Rally was the brainchild of several people. The original idea was a spinoff of the National SV rally that Shane Bevel and myself had attended. Ryan Rucker and Shane became the main organizers. Ryan became the local scout for the place to hold the rally. He, Julie and Scott were the route scouts as well since they were the closest and most familiar to the area.
“We had no idea how well it would be attended or accepted when the original idea was formed. We had a small attendance of about 10 that first fall rally, but we had so much fun we all agreed that once a year was probably not often enough, so we all agreed to try and hold a rally both spring and fall.
“There really wasn’t anything planned for the first rally except lots of riding, relaxing around the campfire and lots of BS! We did eat our Friday meal together since we could all fit around one table. We also rode into Jasper for breakfast at the Ozark Cafe. Since the group was small, we all rode the same routes all weekend long, which made spending time together much easier than if we’d had a large group.
“When I had to load up and head home I knew I’d met some really great people and made some lifelong friendships.”

Hi everyone! Yes the site is now (finally) live. I’m so glad that you all want to attend the next rally! It’ll be great to see everyone again, and here’s to much growth in the future!
Kamicosmos (Dave) from KC has graciously agreed to be the registration coordinator. I really, really appreciate his help. Along those lines, if you feel you can pitch in, please feel free to contact me — I need responsible people to pull the weight, that’s the bottom line. We can always use help spreading the word, and contacting sponsors for rally schwag. I would love for a programmer to create a simple registration form — again, contact me for details. If you are a rally veteran, write up your stories, dig out your pics, and send them to me!
The next thing that will happen is figuring out the cost of the registration and getting the reg form online. We’ll have it available in pdf format too in case you feel better about mailing your registration in. So… stay tuned!
